Happy Sunday purples!

It is a very wet Sunday here on the Gold Coast today, so I hope whatever you are up to you are staying dry!  I have to go and do my grocery shopping so currently waiting for a break in the rain to make a mad dash to the car.  Yes……I have a garage…..but unfortunately there is no room for my car in there!!  Anyway, to the point of my blog this week……

I listen to podcasts and different business training videos etc when I am driving around in my car which I do a lot of.  I don’t have time to watch things, but by listening in the car I am able to overcome the excuse of not having time.  I listened to something this week and whilst I learned some valuable information from what the person was teaching, I did disagree with something they said and that was that your WHY for doing things is not important.  I thought that this would be a good topic for my blog this week because it is something that I am very passionate about and it is a good reminder for me and I hope others as well.

THE absolute MOST important factor to successfully achieving a goal is your WHY and I specifically teach it in regards to weight loss, but it actually applies to anything in life that you are trying to achieve.  If your WHY is not strong enough and it is a really challenging goal, then you probably aren’t going to succeed.  I am not a negative person, but I have learnt a lot on my weight loss journey and I am being totally honest and realistic with you when I say that.  I am not saying you won’t successfully achieve your goal, I am just saying that your WHY has to be strong enough for you to do so.  Most of us only do things for one of two reasons and they are either to move away from pain or towards pleasure.  Unfortunately that means that you either have to be in so much pain that you absolutely have to do something to change your situation, or alternatively that the goal that you are working towards is going to give you immense pleasure.  Think about it.  The last time you successfully achieved a goal that you set out to achieve, was either one of those scenarios a driving factor?  I am pretty positive that the answer to that question would be a definite yes!

I don’t care what anyone says, if you want to be successful in achieving your health and fitness goals or whatever other life goals that you may have, then it all comes back to your WHY and the stronger the why you have, the easier it will be for you to do what you have to do to achieve that goal no matter how challenging it may be.

Have a wonderful week everyone!
