Happy Sunday everyone!  Have you ever had something that you really wanted to do….you start it and everything seems to be chugging along wonderfully…..but then you seem to get stuck…..don’t finish it and wonder why?  Do you have a current “work in progress” that falls into this category?  Well I did and that is the topic of my blog for this week.

For the past 3 years I have been trying to write the story of my weight release journey.  It is an autobiography/self help book.  I want to help those who struggle with their weight to change their story like I did, so I thought if I told people my story……where I got to and how I got there…..how I changed my story and then impart to them the most important things that I have learned and changed over the course of my journey, then it would hopefully inspire, motivate and support them if they wanted to do the same.

Each November for the previous 2 years, I have had the intention of participating in NaNoWriMo.  If you don’t know what that is, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month.  It is held in the month of November every year and people participate in it from all over the world.  The object is to write 50000 words of a novel of your choice and it gets people writing which is a great thing.  My story was never going to be anywhere near 50000 words and that is ok for an autobiography/self help book as far as I am concerned.  I want to help people in the shortest possible time, so I feel that the quicker they can consume the information and get started implementing it the better.  However, I felt that participating in NaNoWriMo would get me writing it, no matter how long or short it was.

Three years ago it started out well, but as I got further and further in, progress started to slow down.  The first NaNo came and went and I seemed to find less and less time to spend on it.  In fact, at one point, I didn’t even go back to it.  Until the next year when NaNo came around again.  I was determined I was going to get it finished that year.  Once again, I got so far, progress slowed and again it was put down for the rest of the year.

I have been trying to get back to it all year this year.  I have scheduled time in my diary each week to do it.  At one point I started scheduling in 20 minutes per day, just to get some progress happening on it.  I couldn’t even make that happen!  Why?!!!  I knew that once again it was fear holding me back.  The big old scaredy cat inside me was saying a big fat NO!  Once it’s written, then the next step is to publish it.  Once it’s been edited of course.  Once it is published, the next step is to distribute it.  What will happen then?  Well……THEN…..people will READ it of course!!  That scared the bejeebers out of me!  What would people think of me?  How would people look at me?  Would I lose friends?  Would my family be upset with me?  THIS is the stuff that stopped me from finishing writing the thing in the first place.

In my last blog I told you about a course that I did that changed my life in so many ways for the better.  My course finished on Friday the 27th of October and I came home on Saturday the 28th.  I was so exhausted that I literally slept the rest of that day once I arrived home and unpacked.  On the Sunday, I got up and started to plan the week ahead as I usually do.  I realised that it was coming up to the 1st of November and decided once again to participate in NaNo, with the goal of actually finishing the first draft of my book.  I just wanted to finish it!  Yesterday was the 18th of November and a pretty awesome day as far as I am concerned, because I actually did finally finish the damn thing!  (Sorry about my language, but that is actually tame for how I feel about it!)  My life has changed so much this year, that I no longer have those fears holding me back.  All I can think about now is that if this book helps even one person to change their story like I have, then it will all be worth it…..no matter what happens!

I now have a new goal for November.  For the rest of NaNo I will be editing and rewriting what I need to rewrite to get it to the point where it is ready to go off to a professional editor.  I started doing that today and got halfway through and I still have 11 days to go of November.  I definitely got this!!

I know I talk about fears holding us back all the time.  A lot of times, when a person is struggling to release weight, it is because they have fears holding them back.  All kinds of fears.  The really good thing is that I can help you with that.  I have a couple of specials going at the moment because it is coming up to Christmas (Yes! I said that C word!) and NOW is the perfect time to get started on your weight release journey.  We will work together to get you into a good place before Christmas, help you to enjoy your Christmas without the guilt and then get you back on track afterwards so that you can kick off the New Year in style working towards a healthier, happier you!  In light of this, I am offering a Christmas/New Year special as per pricing on the photo below.

A Weight Release Transformation Session is an intensive one on one consultation designed to elicit the root cause/s of why you retain weight.  Once issues have been identified, a series of tools and processes are used to remove things such as limiting beliefs, negative emotions and whatever else needs to be released.  It will transform your life.  It will change the way that you look at things.  You will see the world in a whole new light and you will feel amazing, inspired and empowered!  A Weight Release Transformation Session puts you in the best starting position for your weight release journey.  I am also gifting one of these away, so if you would like to win, contact me here and tell me why you should win and how it will help you.  The winner will be drawn on Monday the 27th of November.

My 12 week Weight Release Program includes one hour per week of one on one mentoring.  The program is individualised to your own particular needs and includes such things as nutrition guidance, goal setting, education, removal of things along the way such as limiting beliefs and negative emotions.  The program is designed to support, educate, inspire, encourage and empower you to make the changes that YOU want to make to change your story to one that is just perfect for YOU!

If you would like any further information of any of the above, please feel free to contact me on 0402 867 687 or contact me here.  In the meantime, have a great week everyone and remember…..

You CAN change your story – one change at a time!
