Happy Sunday purples!

What a beautiful day it is today on the Gold Coast! I hope it is just as beautiful wherever you are today!  I am actually looking forward to my workout today, because I am going for a bike ride out in the glorious sunshine!  There may or may not be some Pokemon hunting and battling going on along the way as well!

Anyway, back to the point of my blog today, which is about something that I tell people all the time but I can’t say it enough. ANYONE CAN DO ANYTHING IF THEY WANT TO BADLY ENOUGH!  I have people all the time asking me what the secret is to losing weight.  I lost 100kg through diet and exercise, so you would think I would know, right?!  I do.  The secret is that there is no secret.  It is very simple.  Eat less and/or healthier, and add in some exercise if you can.  So why don’t we do it?  Some of you may not know, but although I did lose 100kg, I am not at my goal yet.  I have actually been trying to get to my goal for almost 3 years!!  Why have I not achieved it yet?  Because I didn’t want to badly enough for whatever reason or reasons.

So what is the key? It’s not really a secret, but people just don’t realise how important it really is.  The key is that you need to really really want to lose the weight.  People only do things for 2 reasons.  Either they are in a LOT of pain and just want put an end to that pain, or they believe wholeheartedly that the goal they are working towards is going to give them an incredible amount of pleasure.  Immense pain or pleasure will be what drives you to make the changes that you need to make to get where you want to go.

When people ask me how they can be successful at losing weight, I tell them that they need to find really strong reasons why. This is SO important.  We all have reasons why we want to and why we don’t want to do things, and unless the why’s are greater than the why nots, we are not going to be successful.  This is truly THE most important piece of the puzzle.  When you want to do something badly enough, I promise you that as much as it might be hard, you WILL do whatever you need to do to achieve it.  In the last couple of weeks I have reminded myself of my end goal and finally got sick of myself not getting there yet.  There are a few reasons why I haven’t, which is a whole other blog post, so I will just say that they are strong enough to have stopped me achieving my goal up to now.  But enough is enough and I am finally at the point where I am so fed up with it that it has given me the fire back to put in place changes that I need to make until I get there.  I set my goal, I made my plan and for the last 2 weeks I have stuck to it without deviation.  I have done that for one reason only.  I want that goal that I have set for myself more than anything else in the world right now and I am determined to get it.  The next 2 months will be tough, but I will constantly remind myself of my goal and that will keep me on track, as it has done for the last 2 weeks.

WE CAN DO ANYTHING WE TELL OURSELVES WE CAN IF WE WANT IT BADLY ENOUGH!!
