Hi Purples!!

Happy Sunday to you all! I am having a wonderful Sunday, as it is my daughter’s 21st birthday today.  I am so proud of the person that she has become and I know how blessed I am to have such a loving, supportive daughter.  Today’s blog post is not about her specifically, but it is about the importance of a strong support network.  My daughter and I are so very lucky to have a very close relationship.  It has been just the 2 of us for a long time and we are so much alike it is not funny!  Over the 3 years that I was working really hard on losing my weight, she was so supportive and helpful.  It made a difficult task so much easier.  I was very lucky to have a lot of other supportive, encouraging people in my daily life as well.  My close family and friends, my workmates and my trainers.  The weight battle is really tough at times.  There are good days and bad days.  There are days where you want to cry.  There are days when it all just seems too hard and you want to give up.  It’s those beautiful, supportive, encouraging people around us in our support network that will be there to give us the support and encouragement when we really need it, so make sure that you surround yourself with those people when you are travelling along on your journey.  You can never have too many supportive people around you!  Every little pat on the back, every high five, every supportive or encouraging smile or word makes it that little bit easier to keep going when the going gets tough.

Thankyou to all of those people out there that have supported me over the years on my journey. You have no idea how much you helped me.  Also, a very special thankyou to my beautiful daughter.  You have always been my greatest supporter and I so appreciate all the support, encouragement and belief that you have given me!

Have a great week everyone!!

Shari xoxo
